Introduction:                Last week we discussed the Fruit of The Spirit, which is the character of Christ and The Father Himself. Jesus wants us to be like Him just as He is like the Father. To bear fruit you must be loving and compassionate, two of the nine elements of the Fruit of the Spirit. And if you are all other characteristics of the fruit will be evident in your relationship with God and man.

1.       Faithful christians often face persecution especially in communities/countries where they are in the minority, John 15:19-20

2.       Some may be killed, John 16:1-2, Matt. 24:9, Acts 7:59 & 60

3.       To bear fruit you must love your enemies, even those who persecute you, Matt. 5:44-46

4.       The rewards here on earth and in eternity, Mark 10:28-30
