1.       The Word has more than one meaning

a.       According to the dictionary the word is the unit of language

b.       The second meaning of The Word is the Bible, the Gospel message

c.       The third meaning is a component of (b) and, that is, Jesus Christ, John 1:1-3

d.       The Word is a seed, will grow and flourish when accepted by the hearers, Mk. 4:14-20

1.       When God created the universe it was in a perfect state until satan turned the earth into a place of darkness and chaos after he was expelled from heaven, Rev. 12:7-12, Lk. 10:18

2.       It was by the Word of God that the earth was restored to its original state, Gen. 1:2-3; 6-8; 9-11; 14; 24

3.       The Word gives life to those who believe in it, John 11:25-26
