Week 1                 April 1

Topic:                  What Is A Miracle?

(a)           An unusual event which defies human reasoning/explanation.  Example: The parting of the Red Sea, Ex. 14:21-28

(b)          Answered prayer when it appears that all hope is lost and every door is closed, I Sam. 1:10-20

(c)           A desperate request for mercy from a leper, that produces instant miracle, even though his action was  a breach of the law, Mark 1:40-42

Week 2                 April 8

Topic:                  The Mission of Christ To The World To deliver And Save

(a)           Announced by God Himself, immediately after the fall of Adam following satanic interference in God’s plan for the human race, Gen. 3:14-15

(b)          Predicted by Old Testament Prophets, Isaiah 7:14, Isaiah 61:1, Isaiah 9:6, Micah 5:2, Zech. 3:8

(c)           Confirmed by Jesus in the Synagogue at Nazareth, Luke 4:18 & 19

Week 3                 April 15

Topic:                  Jesus Suffered For No Just Cause

1.       The Jewish elite hated Him with a passion

a.       Accused him of disregarding the Sabbath which is a cornerstone of their law, Lk. 13:10-17

b.       Set traps for him, asked whether the Jews should pay tribute to Ceaser their colonial master, Matthew 22:15-22

c.       They dismissed him as an agent of Satan, John 8:48, 52

Week 4                 April 22

Topic:                  The Empty Tomb

1.       When human beings die and are buried their bones remain in the grave sometimes for hundreds of years, after the flesh has wasted away, Ezek 37:1-4 

But for Jesus, the Son of God, no flesh or bone was found in his grave three days after his burial. He had risen from the dead, Mk 16:1-8

2.       In the course of His ministry, while on earth, He had accurately predicted His death and resurrection, Mark 10:32-34, Matt. 20:18-19

3.       The empty tomb is a miracle, unique to Jesus. It was confirmed by angels, Luke 24:1-8
